Pererenan, Bali

The Maison

Six houses behind one gate, three minutes from the sand. Opening 2027.

Six sand-plaster houses in a row, olive arched doors set into walls of living fern, palm crowns against a clear sky.

One drive, one gate, six front doors. Small enough that you learn the other five faces, private enough that you never have to.

Six houses. One gate.

The houses run in a single row behind a wall, each one separated from the next by a planted screen. No shared pool, no shared terrace, no lobby. Your garden is yours, your roof is yours, and the only thing held in common is the lane you park in.

I The wall
The house name cut into limewash beside an olive door, a brass lantern lit on the step.
II The name
A narrow plunge pool in the side garden, pale jade water, a palm leaning across it.
III The water
The rooftop kitchen under a woven pergola, ferns spilling from the planter.
IV The roof
A narrow bathroom in small sage tile with a teak ladder of towels.
V The tile
A stone ledge with dark green Maison bottles, a stamped soap and folded terry slippers.
VI The detail
A rooftop lounge under a timber pergola: linen sofas, a low round table, ferns and jungle beyond.

Up here the canopy is at eye level.

Pergola shade, an outdoor kitchen, and green in every direction. The roof is where the day ends, most nights.
